How to choose the right MOQ for vaporizer wholesale

Best wholesale is the MOQ that keeps the cash flowing

The loudest pitch of reduced factory pricing is always heard by purchasers looking for top vaporiser wholesale. Shops that last optimise something quieter: an order quantity that nevertheless gets wholesale economics without freezing half a year’s cash in lithium-and-oil inventories. Vaporisers aren’t dry groceries. What “cheap” implies once the pallet hits is a function of battery grade, leak risk, and flavour churn.

Price the landed unit not the brochure FOB

Real cost = (factory total + overseas freight + duty + clearance + last mile delivery) / excellent units that make it to the shelf. A three dollar FOB stick will normally end up in the mid-fours or mid-fives. Volume discounts only matter if you recalculate the margin on that landed number. If a larger MOQ reduces FOB but not landing cost, or results in excess inventory, it’s not a win.

Run 80/20 inventory mix

4. Treat stock as two jobs. Aim to have about 80% of velocity on established sellers that you can eventually factory buy in low thousands per flavour, accepting longer production+shipping clocks for lowest unit cost. About twenty percent should continue on local or second tier wholesale, boxes of ten, two to three day refill, higher unit cost, for trend flavours and new hardware. Flavour cycles are quick. Test costly errors in short home-based runs and when an SKU pops, then hit the factory MOQ.

Trial orders truly prove the supplier.

Catalogue minimums generally weed out tire-kickers. Serious first buys can punch underneath them if you pay a short trial price — sometimes a few dimes to a $1 more per unit. When samples come in, puff more than once: Open the device, check battery markings against the A-grade cells you were promised, check cotton and fill, and keep one golden sample as the benchmark for mass production. Ask for random open-box video inspections of the finished lot before the balance payment.

The 45-60 day cover rule

Don’t buy six months of stock trying to pick off another twenty cents. A healthy objective is around a month and a half to two months of sell-through – enough buffer for delays, not enough to get yourself trapped if rules or tastes turn. Cash that changed beats inventory that “looked cheapest.”

Blunders that ruin a shop’s reputation

Bait-and-switch cells: A-grade cobalt in the sample, recycled or B-grade in the container, devices that expire after two hits. Write the cell brand and grade into PO and vape wholesaler test internal resistance and voltage before the balance clears Air-freight leaks: cabin pressure swings can drive oil out of disposables. Pre-shipment vacuum/altitude-style leak checks with video required. Payment: thirty percent deposit and seventy percent after production and inspection approximately; corporate accounts only. Nothing beats a five-minute live walk-through of the warehouse to find empty middlemen. A folder of PDFs does not compare.

An accessible hike for first time buyers

domestic wholesale hundreds for a couple cycles as you discover what gadgets and flavours move. Once the monthly volume is consistently in the thousands, move the core eighty percent to manufacturer MOQs. Micro lots and dropship teach assortment. They rarely generate real wholesale margin. The “best” wholesale path is the ladder that fits your sell-through rate, not the lowest amount on a quote sheet.
